Hawthorne residents Jennifer Nichols, 36, Alejandro Terrazas, 23, and a 15-year old juvenile who will not be named because they are a minor were arrested Friday on the suspicion of killing a man, calling the police, and covering up the murder by telling the police the man was trying to kidnap them. They were able to resist and knock the kidnapper unconscious. Something just does not add up.

How on earth is one man kidnapping two adults and a teenager? Did they not know the police would have to show up to the scene and find out he's not just unconscious, but dead? I am in no way condoning their act, or lie, but criminals are just getting sloppy these days.

The Officers who responded to the call found the so-called kidnapper in a truck, both unconscious and unable to respond. The local Fire department was called in to attempt to resuscitate the kidnapper, but authorities pronounced him deadly shortly after.

I'm glad the officers were smart. The three were arrested on suspicion of homicide after further investigation was conducted. The victim was later identified as Bradley Hayes of Hesperia. Of course, this would happen in California. The four involved were later identified as acquaintances, so the Police made the right choice.
